Eumundi Town
The charming historic town of Eumundi with its big wide main street and towering heritage-listed fig trees has developed into one of the jewels of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
There’s a wealth of things to do in this historic hinterland town – aside from the world famous Eumundi Markets. Eumundi boasts six fabulous art galleries, showcasing the finest in contemporary art, Aboriginal art, as well as stained glass and hot glass art. Visitors can shop til they drop at various retail outlets including boutique shopping, the famous Hemp Hut, Christmas Shop, Berkelouw Book Barn, and fine chocolate factory Cocoa Chocolat, where sweet-toothed customers can even watch their chocolate being made.
The town is spoilt for choice when it comes to dining, with options ranging from our iconic pubs Joe’s Waterhole and The Imperial Hotel, to relaxed cafes and coffee shops, right through to top-notch restaurant fare.
Eumundi is also home to Discover Eumundi Heritage and Visitor Centre, hub of all the tourist information and filled with wonderful artefacts and information about the town’s early days and development. Pick up a historical walk booklet and learn more about the many historic buildings constructed between 1890 and 1930.
And why not make the most of your visit, and stay at one of the many fantastic B&Bs in and around Eumundi.
Visit the Eumundi Chamber of Commerce’s website www.eumundi.info for further information on what to see and do (as well as contact details for accommodation, dining, galleries, shops and services).
